Free for schools in the United Kingdom to set the words. Free for families to receive and practise them. One class code brings your spelling lists into the MySpellings app.
Choose the words. Share your class code. Families download the free app and receive the lists you send home.
01 / CHOOSE
Your list. Your class.
Use an available regional word pack or create your own list. Add a test date, then publish or schedule it. School accounts and list sharing will be free.
02 / CONNECT
One code. A shared starting point.
Generate and print a free class code for families. Each class can have its own lists, and families can link more than one code in the app.
03 / PRACTISE
School words. Ready at home.
Parents download the free app and add the class code. The app will collect new lists and test dates, with school-list practice available without buying Premium.
A DELIBERATELY SIMPLE CONNECTION
Know the words arrived. Let practice stay personal.
The planned portal will show class-code usage and how many linked devices have downloaded a list update.
That confirms delivery. It won’t tell a teacher who practised, how long they spent or how they scored.
Delivery counts. Room to keep it simple.
Code placesSee how many are used and how many remain.
List downloadsCount linked devices that received an update.
Practice stays in the appNo pupil names, scores or practice history sent to the teacher portal.
Built around a small trial first. Then shaped by real school weeks.
Can teachers log in now?
Teachers with an existing trial account can use the teacher portal. New school and teacher accounts are arranged manually. The public app does not yet connect to school codes.
Yes. The planned core school service will be free: teacher accounts, class codes, creating and scheduling lists, and families receiving and practising those lists in the free app. App Premium is optional and separate. School linking is still in development.
Will a school code unlock the full app?
No. A class code connects the app to free school lists; it is not a Premium unlock or a store voucher. Parents can choose a separate Premium purchase in their app store for the wider app content.
What if a class needs more places?
Each class code will have a manageable device limit. Teachers can request more places, with changes handled manually during the trial. This limit helps manage class linking; it is not a paid Premium allowance. Two devices use two places on the same code.
Do school lists use the parent’s free custom-list allowance?
The planned school connection keeps linked class lists separate from a parent’s personal custom lists. Families won’t need to buy Premium to receive or practise school-provided lists.
Can we use the worksheets already?
Yes. The worksheet maker is free, with custom words or available regional lists. There’s no account or app purchase required.
Tell Dan your school name, country and approximate class size to discuss free school access. Accounts are arranged manually while we develop and trial the school connection.
